Avocado Shrimp

I have to say this is pretty good for a girl who doesn't like to cook and cooks for weight loss and clean eating. It came out pretty amazing tasting and very filling. What you will need to make this:

- shrimp of your choice-  be sure to cook them not too much so there tender

- garlic -  cook these with your shrimp so they boost with flavor

- 1 avocado-  this is your bottom piece for the shrimp and pesto sauce

- coconut oil-  use this to cook your shrimp and garlic in

- pesto sauce-  top this off when your done

And last make it look nice and presentable and your ready to eat and enjoy! Bone appetite you just made a nice clean eats meal in less then 20 mins.

Ahi Tuna and stuffed avocados

Yesterday for lunch I made ahi tuna filet and stuffed avocados with mushrooms and tomatoes with a dash of a lime this is what you will need to prepare this, remember my portions are for 1 person if you're cooking for more double up your ingredients for more:

  • 1 Avocado- cut in half
  • 3 Little tomatoes- cut into two pieces
  • A hand full of mushrooms- you will cook these with the tomatoes
  • 1 Filet 4-5oz of Ahi Tuna- cook on all sides and then pull from heat (season your filet with thyme and pepper)
  • 1 Lime- cut in half and at the end squeeze onto all

Once you have all this together and cooked put the mushrooms and tomatoes onto your avocados and set your filet of ahi tuna on the side, squeeze your lime and your set to enjoy!

More workout mode

Here another workout that I do is 3 or 4 reps of 15 with a 25 pound kettle bell

Another is sitting on a yoga ball medium size sit on the ball and do sit ups without moving the ball and without your feet moving 3-4 reps 25 total.

And another is laying down on the floor using the medium size yoga ball and crossing your legs and doing sit ups 4-5 reps of 25.

And when I'm done I stretch, do yoga and foam roll. Foam rolling does wonders and your not sore the next day! Thanks to my trainer "Andy" for that magical tip :)

A little fitness goes a long way

I started this fitness weightloss journey in 2012 it's been a difficult one but I can say a good one. I wouldn't be where I am today if I never made the decision getting a gym membership, after getting rid of my boyfriend I got a gym membership and decided I wanted my life to change, I missed my old self!   Here are several workouts I do and I switch it up from time to time so my body doesn't get used to the routing.

First I start out with some cardio- running HITT training I will run about 2 miles, 2 times hitt for 2 mins. For my 2nd cardio- I will do the stair master for 20 mins that's usually 50 flight of stairs. 3rd cardio- rowing or bike for 10 mins. Or you can just do running for about 28 mins. That's my cardio session for one day!

My weightloss and fitness journey

People have been asking me how do I do it? Meaning how have I lost the weight and kept it off? It's been a long journey since 2012 I decided to make a change I got a gym membership, got rid of my boyfriend and started to eat right. I got up to 220 pounds and that was my breaking point I was so unhappy with myself, nothing cute would fit and I was always tired. I was like I'm done feeling this way, I want my old self back! So I made the changes and have stuck with them now it's my lifestyle and I feel great, don't get me wrong the journey has not stopped yet! It's still a work in progress to this day I have lost a total of 102 pounds so far! The pictures below the one with 2 pictures in green is me yesterday and the one with 2 pictures in black was a few months ago!

Between hard work, dedication and keeping this lifestyle I been able to lose the weight and keep it off. Trust me at first it is hard but start out small, I started doing 10 mins and building my way up, now I workout an hour or more 4-5 times a week, high-intensity cardio training, heavy weight lifting, yoga, and a lot of running, this is what made it possibles and don't forget eating clean is a must, plus now I feel great I have 30 more pounds to my goal weight.  In the first pic in the black and pink, it was in October 2015, the 2nd picture in full black (with the Cher Lloyd shirt) was in March 2014 you can see the progress made.  The 3rd picture with three people in this was in November 2013 all I can say is wow.

And these last 2 pictures are how I was way before I started the first one was how I was before 220 pounds and the last one is when I started my first day at the gym in 2012. So make that first step make a change and get healthy now I'm not at risk of diabetes like I was before, I feel great, closer to looking great and like what i see, you can do it!
